The ukulele group meets every 2 weeks in St Paul’s Mission room, Tye Green, Wimbish, from 10-11.30
We have been meeting for 9 years and have a large repertoire of songs, mainly from the 60’s and 70’s but we like a challenge and will try anything. Nothing escapes the “ukulele treatment”.
Our sessions usually take the form of a ukulele jam session, with the occasional workshop to learn a new song. New members are welcome, you just need a ukulele (or can borrow one from Mary), the motivation to practice, and a sense of humour!
Music, and in particular learning and playing an instrument, is a wonderful way to maintain mental and physical health and enjoy a social activity. We have a lot of fun!
SW’ukes - our performance group - play regularly for community events, in retirement and care homes, the Forget me not Cafe, for parties, etc, are we are happy to provide entertainment for your group’s social events. Please contact Mary for details.
